Laundry guide 7 minHow to use a laundromat: a first-timer's guideWalking into a laundromat for the first time can feel like everyone else already knows the secret handshake. They don't — they just did it once before you. This guide walks you through a full self-service visit at Wash Bodega in Southwest Houston, start to finish: what to bring, how to sort, how to load a washer, which settings to pick, when to move to the dryer, and the small etiquette rules that keep the place running smoothly. By the end of one load, you'll be the regular helping the next newcomer. Se habla español.Read guide
Laundry guide 7 minHow to wash a comforter — at home or at the laundromatA comforter is one of the few loads that can quietly defeat a home washing machine — and washing it wrong can leave you with clumped fill, a soggy center, or a damaged label-only piece. This guide walks you through the honest decision first (can your machine actually handle it?), then how to read the care label, pick the right machine, dose detergent, and dry it so the fill comes out fluffy instead of matted. When in doubt, a large-capacity machine or a drop-off is the safer call.Read guide

Laundry guide 6 minHow often should you wash your sheets, towels & comforter?Sheets weekly, towels every few uses, comforters and pillows on a much slower seasonal rhythm — that's the short answer most people are looking for. The longer answer is that bedding gets dirtier than it looks: every night you shed skin cells, sweat, and oils into the fabric, and Houston's humidity only speeds things along. This guide lays out a simple wash cadence for every item on (and around) your bed, explains the reasoning behind each one, and shows how to handle the bulky pieces that a home washer can't fit.Read guide
