How laundry pickup and delivery works

Pickup costs $1.69/lb with free pickup and free delivery; drop-off is $1.29/lb next-day or $2.29/lb same-day. Both have a 15 lb minimum. Pickup laundry is usually returned within 24 hours of pickup. Cents confirms your address and schedule; same-day drop-off intake is confirmed separately.

Step by step

How to use laundry pickup and delivery

What you'll need

  • A laundry bag or hamper (any sturdy bag works)
  • Your online order link or a phone
  • A spot for collection (door, lobby, or front desk)
  • A quick check of pockets and care labels
  • 1

    Schedule your pickup online

Open Wash Bodega booking in Cents and enter your pickup address. Choose from the available windows and read the confirmation before preparing for collection. Schedule today for pickup tomorrow when that window is available; Cents confirms the actual address and schedule.

    Get your laundry ready

Empty all pockets, remove loose change, pens, and anything that could stain or jam a machine. Separate out delicates or anything with a special care label. Bag everything together — there is no need to pre-sort by color for standard Wash & Fold.

  • 3

    Hand it off for collection

Have your bag at the collection spot agreed during booking when the confirmed pickup window begins. Follow the handoff instructions for your address and tell the store if your plans change.

  • 4

    We wash, dry, and fold

Your laundry runs through professional wash and dry cycles in large-capacity machines, then everything is folded neatly. Bulky items like comforters get the room they need that a home washer usually can't give.

  • 5

Get it back, fresh and folded

Your clean, dry, folded laundry is usually returned within 24 hours of pickup. Confirm the exact return window in Cents; specialty items can need different handling or more time.

The four-stage cycle, explained

Every pickup and delivery order follows the same simple loop: schedule, collect, process, return. The value is that you only touch the first and last stages — the sorting, washing, drying, and folding happen on our end.

Scheduling is where you set expectations. Cents confirms whether your address fits the route and which pickup windows are available. Add notes about special items and read the confirmed schedule before expecting a collection.

Collection can mean a true pickup at your door, lobby, or front desk, or a quick drop-off in store at 6604 W Bellfort Ave in Westbury, Southwest Houston. Some people prefer the convenience of pickup; others swing by when they're already nearby. Both feed into the same process.

  • Schedule: check your address and available windows in Cents
  • Collect: pickup at your spot, or drop off in store
  • Process: wash, dry, and fold in large-capacity machines
  • Return: brought back to you or ready for store pickup

What to have ready before pickup

A little prep makes the whole thing smoother and helps protect your clothes. The single most important step is checking pockets — loose change, pens, lip balm, and earbuds are the usual culprits behind stains and machine jams. Take 30 seconds to clear them.

For standard Wash & Fold, you don't need to sort by color — that's part of what you're handing off. What does help is flagging anything unusual: a delicate fabric, an item with a strict care label, or something you'd rather wash on its own. When in doubt, set it aside and ask us at intake rather than guessing.

Use any sturdy bag or hamper you have. There's no special container required. If you have items you're unsure about, it's always fine to call (832) 834-5689 first — Se habla español — and we'll talk you through it.

  • Empty every pocket and remove loose objects
  • Set aside delicates and anything with a strict care label
  • Bag it all together — no color sorting needed for Wash & Fold
  • Note any stains or special items so we can flag them at intake

How to think about turnaround

Pickup and delivery orders usually come back within 24 hours of pickup, rather than 24 hours after you open the booking page.

Schedule today for pickup tomorrow when that window is available. Cents confirms your address, pickup window, and return schedule. Store customer access is 24/7; that does not make pickup and delivery a 24/7 service.

If timing is tight for you, just say so when you schedule or call. Comforters and specialty items can need extra time, and we'd rather be straight about that up front than leave you waiting.

Who pickup and delivery is good for

Pickup and delivery earns its keep when time is the thing you're short on. If your evenings and weekends are already full, handing off the wash-dry-fold cycle gives you that block of time back without a trip to the laundromat.

It's especially handy for renters and households without an in-unit washer, anyone managing bulky bedding that won't fit a home machine, and busy schedules where a fixed laundry slot keeps the week from piling up. Comforters, duvets, and big blankets in particular do better in large-capacity machines than in a cramped home unit.

That said, pickup and delivery isn't the only way to use Wash Bodega. If you'd rather be hands-on, self-service laundry lets you wash and dry on your own time, and drop-off is a middle ground — Wash, Dry & Fold (we wash, dry, and fold for you) or Wash & Go (we wash and dry; you fold at home), both left with us in store and picked up fresh.

  • Busy households trading a chore for time back
  • Renters and anyone without an in-unit washer
  • Bulky bedding — comforters, duvets, big blankets
  • Weeks where a fixed laundry slot keeps things on track

Pickup, drop-off, or self-service — picking your lane

These options aren't competing; they're for different moods and weeks. Full pickup and delivery is the most hands-off: you never leave home. In-store drop-off saves you the work but you handle the round trip — Wash, Dry & Fold means we wash, dry, and fold it for pickup, while Wash & Go is the wash-and-dry option where we wash and dry and you fold at home. Self-service is fully DIY on machines that are bigger than what's at home.

A practical rule of thumb: choose pickup and delivery when convenience matters most, drop-off when you're already out and about, and self-service when you want control over the cycle or want to knock out a big load fast. Store customer access is open 24/7, which can make visit planning more flexible; service intake, pickup, delivery, and attendant availability remain separate.

Whichever lane you pick, the underlying care is the same, and on-site parking makes the in-store trips painless. Not sure which fits? Call and we'll help you decide.
