Which washer size fits your load?
Wash Bodega has Speed Queen washers in 20, 30, 40, 60, 80 lb capacities. The best fit depends on the item, fabric, and how loosely the load can move—not simply the number of pieces.
Use these as practical starting points, not comforter-count guarantees. The care label comes first, and an attendant can help you choose when a bulky item is difficult to judge.
- 20 lb: smaller everyday loads and a compact hamper.
- 30 lb: medium household loads, towels, or several days of clothing.
- 40 lb: larger household loads and many bedding loads with room to move.
- 60 lb: bulky bedding, blankets, or multiple household loads.
- 80 lb: the largest washer size in the store for very bulky or high-volume loads.
Cold, warm, and hot water on every washer
Every one of the 44 washers offers cold, warm, and hot water selections. These temperature choices apply to washers, not dryers.
Cold is a cautious default for many colors and everyday fabrics. Warm or hot water may suit some whites, towels, or heavily soiled washable items, but the garment or bedding care label always controls. If a label calls for dry cleaning or special care, do not substitute a hotter wash.

Give laundry room to tumble in the dryer
The store has 50 dryers in 30, 45, 75 lb capacities.
Do not pack a dryer tightly. Laundry needs open space to lift and tumble so air can circulate. Separate delicate or low-heat items, follow every care label, and choose a larger pocket or split the load if wet fabric cannot move freely.
Speed Queen and Alliance Laundry Systems
Speed Queen is the equipment brand visible on the machines in our store. Alliance Laundry Systems identifies Speed Queen as one of its brands. The accurate description of the store equipment is commercial-grade Speed Queen equipment manufactured by Alliance Laundry Systems.
This manufacturer information describes the machines; it does not describe who operates the laundromat.
What the One Dry Guarantee means
The dryer doors display Wash Bodega’s current One Dry Guarantee. The posted promise says that if a load is not dry, the store will restart it for free. Ask an attendant before moving or adding to the load so the posted store policy can be applied.
Drying results still depend on load size, fabric, care instructions, and having enough room for items to tumble. The guarantee does not replace the care label or make every fabric safe for machine drying.
