Clinic laundry: care and limits

Wash Bodega Team. October 2026. English edition.

Two questions at the handoff

Which garment is this, and which care instructions belong to it? That is the left side of the poster. Is this a single-use item, a full sharps disposal container, or a service outside ordinary commercial wash-and-fold? Those are different questions on the right. The panel headings do not assign every object to a washing machine.

The three scrub examples below retain their own maker, product, and care words. They do not create one clinic cycle. Product care also does not establish a clinic's infection-control procedure. The clinic's responsible person directs its procedures and waste handling; this guide selects six decisions, not a complete clinical protocol. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

The companion worksheet is a blank textile handoff, not an incident or patient record. Keep patient names, health details, and incident descriptions out of this worksheet and website. The file is not submitted to Wash Bodega.

1. Cherokee Achieve men's scrubs

The Cherokee Achieve men's collection has a care answer for these scrubs: a cold or warm machine wash with similar colors, a low tumble-dryer setting, and no bleach. Keep all four parts together. The Spanish warning is No uses blanqueador; it is not limited to chlorine bleach. [1]

The same answer suggests turning the garment inside out before washing to preserve its surface and color. That suggestion belongs to the Achieve men's example. It does not turn the other scrub examples into the same care program. [1]

At the folding table

Identify the Achieve men's garment before using this card. On the worksheet, record its maker, model, and care words. If the garment is another Cherokee line, this example does not supply that line's instructions.

The poster compresses the product name into one shared heading and marks Men in English and Hombre in Spanish. The full localized HTML transcript and checklist retain that scope. A maker name alone is not permission to apply this care to every garment it sells.

2. Wink WonderWORK style 500 pant

This example is the WonderWORK Unisex Drawstring Cargo Scrub Pant, style 500. Its care block specifies a cold machine wash, similar colors, a gentle cycle, and low tumble drying. The product name and style distinguish the pant from other WonderWORK pieces. [2]

The same block calls for prompt removal from the dryer, a cool iron if needed, and avoiding bleach or harsh chemicals. These are the pant's instructions; the guide does not convert them into a chemical program for clinic textiles. [2]

Preserve the model in the handoff

The print heading names Wink WonderWORK and the body names the 500 pant. The checklist and HTML transcript expand the product identity. Write that identity beside the care words on the blank sheet when it is the garment actually being handed over.

Cold and gentle belong to this pant's care. Cherokee's cold-or-warm choice does not add a warm option to this card. Do not fill a missing product identity with the closest-looking example.

3. FIGS scrubs: keep the care words exact

The FIGS product-care page has a SCRUBS block. It calls for a cold-water wash with the garment inside out, followed by low-heat tumble drying. That block does not say machine wash. The poster, checklist, and guide preserve the words it does supply. [3]

The page also separates outerwear, underscrubs, and lab coats into other headings. Those headings are not the source of this scrub card. In particular, a lab-coat instruction does not complete a scrub instruction. [3]

When the instruction is incomplete for your task

Record the unresolved question for the clinic's responsible person and obtain the care information for the actual garment. This is a Wash Bodega handoff prompt, not a FIGS claim that a label is missing or a new machine-wash rule.

The light panel is titled Named garment care. It does not silently turn the FIGS line into a machine-wash instruction. A layout can add a claim just as easily as a sentence; both must keep the same evidence boundary.

4. Dynarex exam gowns: single-use identity

The Dynarex Exam Gowns page identifies these gowns as single-use and disposable. That is the decision printed here. The card does not invent a washing cycle or add a machine-wash prohibition that the cited line does not state. [4]

The maker's single-use product is not the same thing as every item called a patient gown. The existing Wash Bodega service lists patient gowns when agreed, but that service listing does not change the Dynarex product's identity. [4] [6]

Keep the item name specific

Use maker and product information to distinguish this exam gown from a reusable garment. Leave any facility handling or disposal question with the clinic's responsible person and its own procedures. This guide does not prescribe a waste classification or disposal route for the gown.

The worksheet holds textile questions without patient identifiers. It is not a place to record who wore a gown, a diagnosis, a treatment, or a clinical event. A product-care handoff can remain useful without collecting those details.

5. Full sharps disposal containers

The FDA's page for health care facilities says not to open, empty, or manually clean full sharps disposal containers. Full is part of this instruction. The poster keeps it in both languages. This is a container-handling limit, not a derived sentence about a towel load. [5]

The same section directs facilities to follow the container maker's instructions, facility policy and procedures, medical-waste vendor instructions, and local medical-waste disposal guidelines. The clinic's existing process remains the place for that work. [5]

Keep this boundary separate from garment care

The poster's dark panel puts this limit beside the single-use gown and the laundry service's own limit. It does not turn them into one category of waste or one disposal procedure.

Do not use this textile worksheet to describe an exposure or manage an incident. Refer a facility question to its responsible person through the facility's own process. The public guide supplies no sharps-container cleaning method and no instruction to inspect or empty one.

6. What the laundry service is

Wash Bodega's clinic service is commercial wash-and-fold. Its page explicitly says it is not a hospital linen plant and not a sterilization service. It also makes no hospital-grade processing or infection-control certification claim. Those are service limits, not a statement that ordinary washing is a clinical treatment. [6]

Tell the team what is ordinary wash-and-fold and what you do not want in a shared commercial load. The service page says those handling choices are confirmed before service starts. A listed item does not establish a clinical acceptance decision by itself. [6]

Before asking for a quote

Use the worksheet to identify textiles and handling questions without patient or health details. Ask for the item mix and separation you need to confirm. Keep facility procedures with the clinic's responsible person.

There is no universal clinic temperature, bleach recipe, contaminated-laundry procedure, or certification in this guide. It does not borrow hospital processing instructions to expand Wash Bodega's service.

A private textile handoff

The six blank fields cover a textile group; garment, maker, model, and label; confirmed care words; a procedure question for the clinic's responsible person; ordinary wash-and-fold items to confirm; and a handling or separation request.

Complete a copy on your own device or print it. This is not a website form and is not submitted to Wash Bodega. Keep patient names, health details, treatment information, and incident descriptions in the clinic's authorized records.

Before passing the task

  • Keep Cherokee Achieve men's care separate from Wink style 500 and FIGS scrub care.
  • Identify the actual garment instead of assigning one shared scrub temperature.
  • Retain the single-use identity of the Dynarex exam gown.
  • Keep full sharps-container handling in the facility's process.
  • Confirm commercial handling through the quote. [6]

These are organizational prompts for this worksheet. The facility remains responsible for its procedures; the worksheet does not certify them.

Optional Wash Bodega service

The existing clinic service lists exam towels, table sheets, scrubs, and patient gowns when agreed. It asks the clinic to identify ordinary wash-and-fold and items it does not want in a shared commercial load. Handling is confirmed before service starts. [6]

A quote confirms item mix, handling, schedule, and whether pickup fits the account. Wash Bodega publishes no commercial price, minimum, schedule, or service radius. Customer store access is open 24/7; that does not set commercial production hours. No dry cleaning, linen rental, or hospital sterilization is offered. [6]

Read the clinic service page or call (832) 834-5689. The store is at 6604 W Bellfort Ave, Houston, TX 77035. The poster's QR opens that existing service page; it does not submit this worksheet or reserve a production slot. [6]

What this guide does not claim

Named garment care, single-use identity, and full-container handling are separate decisions. No sentence here establishes a shared clinic wash cycle, disinfection result, hospital-processing capability, waste classification, or infection-control certification. The clinic remains responsible for its full procedures.

FIGS' scrub care is not rewritten as machine wash. Dynarex's single-use statement is not rewritten as a machine-wash ban. The full sharps-container instruction is not rewritten as a towel-load exclusion. Cherokee men's and Wink style 500 care remain specific to those garments. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Wash Bodega's scope is the existing commercial service, with handling confirmed before service starts. Patient and health records stay outside this worksheet and website. The service QR does not submit a record, certify a procedure, or promise a commercial return window. [6]
